PlanPlus Online HIPAA Compliance Policy -

HIPAA -what is it? Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. It is a federal law enacted in 1996 as an attempt at incremental healthcare reform. It was subsequently revised in 2009 with the ARRA/HITECH Act and again in 2013 with the Omnibus Rule.
HIPAA's intent is to reform the healthcare industry by reducing costs, simplifying administrative processes and burdens, and improving the privacy and security of patients' information.

PlanPlus Online's responsibility is to be in agreement with the customer with a Business Associate Agreement (BAA). It is the responsibility of the PlanPlus Online Customer to be HIPAA compliant. As a business associate we agree to provide a services to the customer that may involve creation, receipt, maintenance or transmission of protected health information.

A full BAA documentation is available for any customer through our sales reps.
