When attaching a vcal to appointment invites it can cause duplication of appointments because google is creating an appointment that already exists in PPOL.
To resolve this issue open the google calendar and click the gear in the top right corner.
Click Settings.
Scroll down to "Automatically add invitations to my calendar:" and set to "No, only show invitations to which I have responded"
This will stop Google from accepting vcal invites and duplication of appointments.
*Manually accepting the vcal will still cause duplication. There is no need to manually accept the vcal if the google calendar is synced with PPOL.
